Can Turffalo grasses be over-seeded during the winter?

Yes, winter rye grass can be seeded into Turffalo grasses if you would like to maintain a green lawn during the winter. The winter rye grass will die in the spring when the weather starts getting hotter and the Turffalo grasses green-up. Also for erosion control of an unplanted area during the winter, winter rye grass can be seeded… then Turffalo can be planted directly into the winter rye grass in the Spring and will cover throughout the area as the winter rye grass dies-out.
